Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.
I replaced our FVS318 with an FVG318. I also use the Prosafe VPN Client to connect. I could connect & access our entire network - daya, servers, etc. with the FVS318. With the FVG318 I cannot. The client connects with no problem - the tunnel is being established. I can ping all devices on the network - servers, printers, etc but can access no files. Nothing has changed on the network. It is the same user and laptop as with the FVS318. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. |

My FVG318 has issues resolving names over the VPN via NETBIOS. On some of the older VPN routers (FWAG114) there is a checkmark available for enabling NETBIOS over the VPN. It is not there on the FVG318.
My clients connect from El Paso to Tucson, and as soon as I connected the FVG318, they had sporadic issues accessing names of PC's & servers via DNS. Went back to the FWAG114 and problems went away. There is a Firmware update dated 10/2/07 that relates to NETBIOS that might address it. I hope this helps! |

Netbios resolve via router is always been a issue to begin with.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I finally uninstalled & reinstalled the VPN Client, went through the config steps again, and it's working. I think that the VPN client had become corrupt.
