The UPS gave up, I now have a new power source and have everything up and running or so I thought. I tried to get onto my secured wireless network from my laptop
and it is not showing up. Just an unsecured Netgear source. What must I do to get my secured wireless going again?

Before we can help you - you'll need to give us a little more to work with.
How about some details as to what modem, router, etc., you have. Is the unsecured Netgear your router, or does it belong to a neighbour? Is your router working or did it die when the UPS did?

Sorry. I have dsl through att and I am using their modem. It all works fine now. But when I search for my secured wireless it doesnt show up. So I am thinking I may have to reinstall the software? As I mentioned it works. I was able to get on line using the unsecured source. Everything works I just would like to use my secured line. As far as a neighbor I dont think they are smart enough to have wireless. The router is a Super-G. What else am I missing?
Thanks, Steve |
