Hello,
I have an older laptop that I use for just surfing the net and emailing. I am on my work laptop now. I have a Netgear MA521 I use to use a product called Boingo to connect to the router some how... I called Boingo and they said they didn't know why or how I was using their software since it was a service and I wasn't a member. I put AVG Antivirus on my laptop and now can't connect. When I go into the wireless configuration manager utility I can find my router but when I tell it to connect it takes me to the configuration tab and asks me about encryption...I say disable encryption and apply and it still doesn't connect...I'm lost..how can I connect to my router...or what am I doing incorrectly??? Thank you! |

if asking for encryption from MA device then you need to provide encryption
please read manual http://kbserver.netgear.com/downloads_support.asp

Ok I still didn't find what I need...I am not very computer literate... I played around with the settings on my NetGear icon that was red in the lower right hand side of my computer...I clicked on something that now gives me a signal but it still doesn't connect. It say's signal strenght Ad-Hoc and link Quality Ad-Hoc and the icon is now Green and both lights on the card are on...but when I click on the statistics tab it say's it is transmitting but not receiving? The manual didn't give me much...I feel like I am now all messed up. Thanks for any step by step you can think of.
