I have the latest release of the software installed. I'm printing to an HP 1320 LaserJet with duplex features via the Netgear Printer driver. About one out of every three times, the computer the software is installed on blue screens as soon as I hit print (or whatever connection problem it has is resolved and the computer starts printing).
Should I uninstall the software and connect directly to the device via standard TCP/IP port (it has a static address configured)? Is there another way to work around this? Device seems really flakey (not just the BSOD, but going to a "Paused" state, or just plain refusing to print for no apparent reason until the system is rebooted, or I launch the wizard and it finds the printer). I'm tempted to chuck the thing (didn't pay that much for it) and look for something better. |

Hi tvleavitt,
Yes, you can manually add the print server port to your PC without using the installation CD. Here is the link: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/47 |
