I am having serious issues with WGPS606 and Windows 7. The issue is related to IPv6. I have seen other forum posts where we are told to diasble IPv6, unfortunately Microsoft have certain features that only work with IPv6. One of these features is the homegroup that make it easier to share information in a home network.
My WGPS606 is connected to WPN824v2. I cannot communicate with IPv6 to WPN824v2 from wireless adapters in laptop computers, but not through WGPS606. Please let me know how to solve this. There is no disclaimer in the WGPS606 documentation that IPv6 is not supported. Thanks, CaliViking |

Sorry, I wrote some incorrect informatio in my previous post: I can connect from my laptop computer using the wireless, just not from WGPS606.
I thought tha tIPv6 was part of he standard internet protocol stackas efined by IEEE. When do you expect new firmware to be available that will support IPv6? Which product do you recommend that support IPv6 today and have the same functionaliy as the products that I am using? Thanks in advance, CaliViking |

How did you get it to install? I tried using the 2.1 Installation pkg but it doesn't detect the adapter. Windows just keeps trying to find drivers itself and failing.

Do people feel that Netgear's performance in updating their drivers to be Win 7 compatible has been poor? Is it that hard or is Netgear simply unprofessional with poor project management?
You would think they would at least post a timetable to manage the expectations of their customers. To have just a handful of updated drivers within a week of the Win 7 release is not good at all. I wonder if their competitors are this tardy? |

My WN111V2 USB device was not recognized by Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
Evidently currently there is not a downloadable solution provided by Netgear for installing your WN111V2 USB device for your wireless system on a box that runs Win 7 64 bit... I have found this thread: http://forum1.netgear.com/showthread.php?t=39613 And have modified it a little to run on my system (Windows 7 Professional 64 bit) I also created a restore point before I started this in case things went bad... ---Alternative Method--- Go to: http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/...e/Support.aspx Type in the search dialog box: WN111V2 Download the top two drivers and save them to a specified folder; unzip the files (I have WinRar installed so it showed them as zip files). Plug in your Netgear WN111V2 USB device Go to: ) Control Panel ) Device Manager ) Other – Should see your USB WLAN device shown with a question mark on it ) Right click on your USB WLAN device and choose: Update Driver software ) Select the folder where you unzipped your drivers that you previously downloaded (it should be successful) Then go to: ) Control Panel ) Network and Sharing Center ) Setup a new connection or network ) Connect to the internet ) Wireless ) Select your wireless router ) Put in your password… should be good to go As the other gentleman said; Good luck.
