NetGear DG834v4 Wired Switch Router.
I have a number of devices, MS-Windows, Ubuntu Linux, and others connected through the DG834, and when they are active (Switched on) they all register in the Attached Devices List of the DG834 management software, with the exception of one computer. There are two of these particular computers, almost identical, and yet one will register in the list and the other will not. I'm wondering if anyone here has any thoughts as to why? It doesn't make any difference to the performance, as they both LAN and Internet through the DG834 okay. Thanks Dave |

Thanks.
I did get to Wikipedia and have a read. I think I'll leave now and just forget about it. My sanity is required for other purposes at the moment. ;-) Even though I'm good with computers generally, I find networking matters arcane, beyond a joke... Dave |
