Default Duel Network Cards

Good Morning,

I have a NetGear GS748T switch (which has been in place long before I started with the company). I am concerned it is not properly configured for the duel ports I have on some of my servers.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to properly configure the ports that are attached to the servers with the duel nics?

Thanks!

Dale

you need to know how the switch is setup ,

access the switch and check all the current settings

Thanks - that I know but I don't see any settings. What should I be looking for? If one was going to setup a those ports to work together what has to be done? Is it just creating a LAG?

vlan, mac address etc.

I would say reset the switch and redo the setting if you have no clue to existing setting etc.

you need to know your network scheme /topology and look every settings in the switch that has may changed

OK, so once I reset it, if I simply want to connect a server with duel nics to it what do I have configure? Just a LAG?

Yes, you're going to be configuring a LAG with LACP enabled(not static).
