What picture quality? HD?

I'll give my Netgear 550 and PlayOn TV a spin this weekend and let you know. PlayOn runs on your computer and allows any media player that supports UPnP to stream content.

I've used PlayOn with my Western Digital and Dune without a problem. Most of the content I've tried is not HD. I purchased the software to stream sports that weren't available via local programming.

If you like old TV shows, you will find just about everything out there. It can be nice not having to store old shows on your NAS when you can just stream them from say the CBS servers.

I haven't tried it with my 550 but I'll give it whirl and let you all know how it worked out.

Unless they've added HD support since last I used PlayOn, they output in SD quality. Of course since most of the videos were old tv series, I wasn't expecting HD.

As an updated FYI: I tested PlayOn again with my NTV550 over the weekend, and the NTV550 still works with PlayOn.

Dogbert, it's always worked with the neo and 9150. Only problems I've ever had always turned out to be due to PlayOn, and some of it's addons.

I've downloaded lastest version of Playon media. Opened up Neotv menu on my tv screen,scroll down to settings pressed ok. Scroll to Network and pressed ok. Scroll to server options and pressed ok. Enabled shared devices. down to server name and typed PlayOn and closed out. Pressed return and rebooted .Main menu should show. Scroll to internet media and Playon media should be listed ,Just press and watch. Playon scripts should be on its site for free downloads .Enjoy all is not lost!
