I currently have a WNDR3700 router. I also have an extender on the second floor of my house.
I took a spare PC to use as a server and installed microsoft server 2011. I am trying to set up the remote access so I can log in from work. I go through the router set up. When server 2011 goes to configure the router i get the following error. Remote web access to your server is blocked-the error explanation says some routers will not work and some ISP block ports 80 and 443. So I port forwarded from to the servers IP using ports 80 and 443. I get the same error...and another error. The second error says there may be more than one device that is preventing home server from setting up the correct router. I have upgraded to the lastest firmware. The server address is also listed as HTTPS I dont see this in any of the drop downs...just HTTP. I dont know if this matters. ANYassistance in getting this up and running would be appreciated. I also used the reset button to restore the router to default and still get the same errors when following the above steps. thanks |
