Default Loses connection and does not reestablish

My question is actually about the WN2000RPT but the only difference between it and the WN2500RP is dual band capability so I figured it would be okay to post in this subforum.

Anyway I've found the WN2000RPT occasionally loses its connection to my main wireless router and does not reestablish it (even if left all day). To remedy this I just log onto it's web interface and begin the setup procedure. Before I change any settings the connection is reestablished.

Anyone know why this is happening and how I can remedy it?

I'm having the same problem between a DLink DIR-615 and the Netgear 2500. The only solution seems to be to unplug the DLink and let it reboot. The Netgear then works again. The DLink never used to drop its connection until I added the Netgear extender.

I am using a D-Link DIR-628 as my main router. However, it is not the D-Link that stops functioning, just the Netgear extender, I can still connect to my D-Link wireless network when the extender stops working.

I actually found that power cycling the extender seems to fix the problem, you just have to wait a little while, still a bit irritating though.

make sure you are not placing extender where original wifi device could to connect. it needs to be placed between A-B points to overlap the signal

Mine is placed in a good location and I have a strong signal. It is just every once in a while that the connection is lost, maybe once a month or so. My concern isn't that the connection is lost, but that the extender does not reconnect without needing a power cycle.
