Default Security key or passphrase

Hi

I have a Netgear 'Rangemax' router for some time and had a laptop wireless connected to it....using a MAC address. Unfortunatly, my laptop died and I purchased another one. I installed the MAC address but my lapop keepos asking me for a security key or passphrase. I've tried putting in my routers' username and password but am unable to login. I can't remember a security key or passphrase. Any ideas

Connect your laptop wired to the router, login to the router
and check the wlan-settings; I'm shure there is a wep- or wpa-
encryption with a key/passphrase; define a new key and enter
this key in the pc's wlan-settings too.
I think the mac-filtering is only an additional securityfeature;
there is WEP or WPAx too.
