Default iPhone issue with Netgear routers

I have looked into other forums and it looks like wireless disconnections are provoked by iPhone connecting to netgear routers.
I have tried everything all possible settings and I still get the same problem.
I can only assume that either the iPhone firmware or the netgear firmware have an issue with g implementation so when the router invokes protection everything goes mental.
I bought a Gigabit Draft N router to enjoy maximum speed and what I am getting are unstable connections. This is very frustrating and netgear or apple should do something about it

Have you tried turning off the router SPI function? What model of router is it? If you have a DSL service the router MTU might need to be lowered to something like 1400 or 1350. It may need to be lowered anyway for VoIP use.
