PAL NTSC and DVD Image playback

Hello All

I'm having problems playing back some of my DVD images and I think it is to do with some being PAL format and other being NTSC format. It appears that he NTSC videos won't play back. As I am in Australia I assume the default setup is PAL, is there anyway to change this setting to temporarily to NTSC or do I need to convert the DVD's (which unfortunately will result in poorer quality playback)?

The EVA can play back both PAL and NTSC DVDs on either PAL or NTSC TVs. There will be judder of course.

So I think your NTSC issue might be something else. Maybe you could post the mediainfo?

Check the file protections on the media that won't play (comparing them to the protections on the media that does play).

You do this by right-clicking on the file and looking at the security tab.

The permissions were the same as those that do play. A changed from read only to read/write and still didn't make and difference

Did you check the user/group names as well?

I add the "everyone" group, and make sure that has read access. (you can select all the files in the directory, right-click and do this all at once).

There are also share permissions on the sharing tab, though if all the files (working and not) are in the same share, then those must be correct.
