DG834G V2 - Attached device not showing up

I have had a DG834 V2 for many years but wanted to get a wireless router so I got a DG834G V2 off eBay!

I assumed that the DG834 and the DG834G would be virtually identical apart from the fact one is Wireless and one isn't. And indeed they are very similar, but...

I have a slackware web server which I use for development, but this is not showing up on the DG834G under Attached Devices, even though the server actually is connected to the internet through the router. All other attached devices are showing up however, including one computer that has an identical network card to that in the server.

The web server shows up fine in the Attached Devices section on the DG834 router, but not in the DG834G - which surprises me. I just assumed the two routers would just work the same and didn't expect this problem. I am using the latest firmware in both.

I need the server to show up as an Attached Device so that I can set the IP Address Reservation up in the router, so that the web server always has the IP address 192.168.0.4. Had it all working fine in the DG834 but in the DG834G, because it can't see the computer as an attached device, I cannot do this. Grateful for any ideas.
