I just had a new Windows 7 64 bit desktop delivered yesterday and bought a WG111v3 adaptor today. I too had problems installing the device. I tried downloading other drivers for XP and Vista but they didn't work. In the end I followed the above advice and it worked fine. I didn't use any downloaded drivers - just the installation CD that comes with the adaptor. Cheers MrMa

OK
I tried all the above and more. The dirver isn't recognized or if it is Win & says signature is not valid. ![]() ![]() ![]() Bottom line: There isn't a Windows 7 64 bit driver that can be installed to operate the Netgear WG311V3 ![]() ![]() ![]() This product is being sold at Best Buy and Tiger Direct so it is not like it is too old to bother building a Win 7 driver. Netgear should quit putting out substandard, tentative drivers and make available a robust Windows 7 driver that actually works as it should. Frustrating ! |

****due to compatible drivers now being available from both netgear and realtek, i will no longer be answering any email requests for compatible drivers. many thanks to all the people who provided feedback for my original custom driver :-)****

Just got this card from TigerDirect - with many good reviews. The driver did not come in the box - not uncommon for a refurb I guess. However, the Win7 driver on the support website requires me to register this card using the serial number of the card. The serial number space on the card is blank. I tried the MAC for this field, but it was rejected.
How can I obtain the driver for the card I purchased? I have always had great luck with NetGear, but this kind of sours me
