Default Static IP setting

Can someone please check to see if they can set a static IP on the EVA and get it on the network? I've tried on all three firmware loads and it doesn't seem to work.

Default Re: Static IP setting

I was able to get my EVA attached to my network using a static IP (FW 1.1.95). (I did "cheat" a bit though in setting it up, since I first had it get it's IP from my DHCP server, then I just unchecked the "get IP automatically" box and saved it. ) The only odd thing I noticed was it didn't save the DNS I put it.

I've been able to set a static IP. However, I noticed the issue that scuser1 described where the dns setting is not getting set after setting static IP. I've escalated this issue to development and should be fixed in a future update.

If you need to set static IP, you might want to use your router settings to reserve the IP address of the unit based on its MAC address. The EVA8000's mac address is located on the back panel.
