I use 100's of Netgear routers in all sorts of locations and have never run into an issue getting access to the wireless network with WPA.
I recently decided to try the new WNDR3700. I'm having what seems like a simple problem. If I enable the 2.4G wireless network, I am unable to connect to the network if WPA-PSK (TKIP) is selected. On my laptop, I say "skip configuration key on router and just enter passphrase". My laptop takes a while and then gives up saying "Can't connect to network". If I disable security, I can connect fine. If I do press the configuration button on the unit, it connects. (but doesn't ask for passphrase) I want to allow various people onto the network by giving them the passphrase so I don't want to have to press the configuration button (router is in a locked closet) nor do I want to leave security off. Some other info - 5Ghz network is off - PIN is disabled - I've upgraded firmware to 1.0.4.68NA Any ideas on what is causing this issue? Thanks, Dana |

For you to use it the normal way, • make sure you define a passphrase on the wireless settings. • check the "Keep Existing Wireless Settings" on the Advanced Wireless Settings.

If you were able to use button the router which WPS then you have connection WPA
I would enable the pin . Pin number is on side of the unit
