This morning I discovered that my modem, router, and switch were all being powered by the wrong power adapters. Most network device power adapters are fairly similar in spec, so I am assuming that is why everything powered on and appeared to be working fine. However, upon connecting each power adapter to their proper device, my GS108v2 would not power back on. All I hear is a slight humming sound from the device. However, the switch does power back on when connecting either of the other two power adapters. This is the power adapter I have for the device:

Can anyone offer any reasons why this might be occurring; other than this could be the wrong power adapter? Thanks! |

Disregard the above. While I am still puzzled over why the power adapter does not work, I simply switched power adapters with a Netgear FSV114.
