Hi!
I have a NTV250, the device is connected to the network wirelessly.. i did not encounter any problem with the connection until the point where i need to put the code generated by the device. When i tried to access the Roku account and enter the code, the code did not work! I tried to regenerate a new code and setting it back to factory default did not help. I did it over and over again. I contacted the Roku support but they said that they are not supporting such concerns and need to go back to Netgear for assistance. I am lost. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated. ![]() Thanks! |

Have you tried doing a hard reset on the Roku? i.e. hold the reset button in for 15 seconds or until front LED flashes. Then try the setup again and see what happens.

Reset button on the Roku basically resets the unit to its factory default, unlike the tech rep told me that it will just power off/on the device.

I don't understand what Roku has to do with Netgear devices.
Can you enlighten me please what is going on, or refer me to a web page? Thanks. I own a NeoTV Max, which I really like. (and a Roku also) |

I bought a Roku several days ago and I also got stuck at the password. I called NetGear and said he could help after I send him $129.00! You believe that BS! Corporate Greed!
Today Roku customer support called and tried to help me with several different settings but all were unsuccessful! Here is what we tried: 1.) Wireless Settings: Changed Channels from 06 to 11. 2.) Mode: From auto 108Mbps to b and g. 3.) Secuity Options: From WEP to None. 4.) Security Encryption (WEP) Key: Key #1 changed to my home phone number. We then tried entering several different passwords, but it will not accept! We also reset the Roku unit several times. For some reason, the Roku will Not work with the NetGear router!!! NetGear has terrible support and I will never buy anything that is made by NetGear! Anyone have any suggestions? I am no networking tech wizard, but would something like this work: Connect the modem directly to the Roku. Then connect an Adapter to my computer USB (which I already have). I know the modem will work directly to the Roku, since I already done that several days ago. But Roku then gives a code that you need to register at Roku.com/Link. Well I have to disconnect the modem from the Roku, then connect it back to the computer. When I reconnected the modem to the Roku again, I have to start all over! There is no sense asking NetGear for help, even Roku cannot figure it out. So has anyone here solved this problem? Thank you. |
