still not fixed in fw 308, do you plan to fix it in the future?
a mediaplayer without hardisk should be able to cope with external drives - like many other players can!

This is/has been a problem with usb hubs and internal enclosures forever. some work, some do not. It is luck of the draw. I have a fairly expensive ($30) powered usb 7 port hub that does NOT work with the neo, but my $1.99 unpowered 4 port meritline cheapie works just fine and shows all four drives.

this is not a hub problem and has nothing to do with luck - only bad programming. dune hd smart d1, emtec n200, extreamer pro do not have the problem!

Insulting the devs is not the best way to get your issue to the top of the priority list of fixes. Hubs and multiple drive enclosures have never been supported in the previous Netgear streamers. You should just be happy this dev team is willing to implement it.

i now use the dune hd smart d1 in my livingroom - my neo will go in the party-cellar if they mange to solve the problem - if not it goes straight to ebay. i am a customer who pays for getting a player that meets his needs and therefor shouldn't be worried that netgear let basic functions unnoticed! and i think they won't do that. even a big company needs satisfied customers. but thanks for your concern.

I agree with Dietmar. Pointing out a fact is not an "insult", it is just a fact. I have purchased many of these type of boxes over the years, and this is the first one that can't see all the disks in an attached JBOD enclosure, and while this is a pretty basic bug that should probably not have made it past regression testing in the first place, it happens. What is inexcusable, however, is that this has been a top customer issue for well over a year now, and it still has not been fixed. There is no getting around the fact that the engineering support being provided to customers of NeoTV devices is pathetic. This could be a great device, but software updates have stopped. Where are the bug fixes? Where is the Netflix support? If NetGear isn't going to invest in engineering resources to move the platform ahead, then they should at least set up an open-source project so that others can do it. As it is, this is pretty much a dead product if something doesn't change.

If you had read the stickies, you would know that there will only be one more firmware update, maybe. I say maybe, because they said something similar about their previous box, and it never materialized. So yes, I would say this is a "dead" product. That said with the latest firmware it's not a bad product for many peoples needs. I just wish they had a better visual interface that worked something like XBMC or the Apple TV.
