Default HELP...WNR2000 v2 Connection issue

ok, so this weekend I had to run a clean install of Windows Vista on my desktop. I have had the network adapter installed so my network card is working correctly. I can connect directly from modom to pc and have internet connection no problem..

My issue is that my router (WNR2000 v2) is showing a solid amber light on the power section. Lights 1-4 for ethernet ports are green and no other lights are on. I have tried multiple methods of power up and different cables to no avail. I have no idea what to do. I even tried to restore to factory settings....used the pinhole and held the button for 15-30 seconds and the router won't even do anything with that.

The issue i'm having is that my exact set up that i was working with 3 days ago (before the reinstall of vista) isn't working anymore. I just want to get myself set back up and don't know what's wrong. Pls help asap

if LAN ports is lid where not cables are NOT plug usually mean router is hang up somewhere in the diagnostic boot

can tell you why it is doing when you just reinstall vista but something happen to the router as another isolated issues.

Unfortunately they won't assist me unless I pay $90 or so. I'd like to solve this without going that direction if possible

my.netgear.com is still free to ask.

behavior of your router is likely to bad unit .
remove all the power and ethernet cables and let it sit for few minutes. try again

Yesterday I unplgged everything and let it sit all day while I was at work. No good. Unit was fine 3 days ago. Hard to believe it went bad so quick and no warning
