NEW 9150, Sees Network; Won't Play Squat...
NOTE: I REALLY ONLY WANTED THIS THING TO PLAY MUSIC FILES ON MY MAN CAVE HI-FI DOWNSTAIRS... I have a Win7 Home Network and the EVA sees it right away. I put in my network password. EVA finds and lists my shared folders as it's searching. Then it won't access any of the files it found after that and tells me I have to re-enter all the info that I just had to enter over that freakin pathetic hunt-n-peck interface... My laptop is sitting RIGHT BESIDE the 9150. It's on the network JUST FINE... I have 2 W7 boxes, 1 W XP box and 1 Ubuntu 11- box. No problems finding anything on my network through any of my comps... Any ideas on how to access all the music on the network? I mean, the 9150 sees all the folders and tells me it's there, but then tells me I have to install the NTGear software on "1 of the comps on the network"... Uh, yeah... done that 3 times, on 2 different W7 boxes on my net, then re-started them. Same crap every time. Can I just freakin take a HDD formatted Linux EXT 3 w/all my FLACS and shove it in the hole? Then when it says if I want to find local files on the HDD, will it read them? I understand (too late) this box is EOL. I still think it's got great potential, just need help unlocking it... Thanks.
