Default Setup issues EVA9150 and Win7/64 resolved

Just thought I would post here in-case anyone else has the problems I had.

Got my EVA, had the wrong HD supplied by Netgear in it, Seagate ST3500312CS is inside mine, the Seagate ST3500321CS is the correct drive, make sure you get them swapped.

When I got the new drive it wouldn't be recognized, wouldn't be recognized on a PC either, drive was dead, replaced again under warranty.

New recognized but failed to format, formatted in PC, made no difference, got very frustrated, applied for RMA for whole unit with original purchase place.

Today for some reason I tried to format the drive again, this time with the network cable out. From the error messages previously the EVA was trying to format the drive inside my PC as it would scan the drive for media files and say do you want to delete them, the drive in the EVA was empty so this was fishy.

The drive formatted perfectly and can now be detected. Attempting to copf files across and having troubles, but thats for another htread.

Hope this helps someone.
