Hello
Firstly I'd like to apologise as I'm sure this is in the completely wrong forum but its the closest I can find! I purchased a N300 WIRELESS ADSL2 + MODEM ROUTER DGN2200 for my workplace, we needed a 3rd line installed for internet only as our multiline couldnt take adsl.... but the problem is the area we have our computer was too small to install another line, so we did it elsewhere in the building.... now ive realised I NEED a computer connected via the ethranet cable to actually set the router up....which isnt long enough as its the other end of the room from the pc! my question is - could i somehow set it up wirelessly, or alternatively bring in my laptop from home and set the router up, and the computer can access it and the internet wirelessly as its supposed to? basically what im asking is it is okay to install the router/disc on a machine that isnt going to be on the network after its done its job. im sorry im a slight newbie when it comes to all this! thank you for anyones help A |
