Default Re: WLAN Light

I was under the impression that the new BETA firmware was suppose to fix the "Attached Devices" issue. For me, I have no reason to use the BETA firmware, so I don't know what other goodies I might be missing. Well, more importantly, my devices don't seem to care.

I can't be certain that there is one setting in the router which causes the "Attached Devices" to stop working. For me, and the way that I have always configured my Networks, it's always worked.

Basically I leave DHCP enabled for the WAN, but disable DHCP for the LAN/wLAN. I give all connecting devices a static configuration. I turn off anything in the router I don't need. It's not an ideal configuration for everyone, but it serves me well with an uptime of 298 days.

If you are willing to try it, start simple. Work with one computer. If that works, then apply similar settings to other devices until all devices are uniquely configured with a static configuration.

Depending on the connected device, "<unknown>" might still appear in "Attached Devices". That is the fault of the connected device and you can still see which device is connected by it's IP Address and MAC Address.
