I have a Toshiba Qosmin X505-Q894 Laptop. It has a Wireless - N wireless adapter is based on a draft release version of the IEEE 802.11n specification.
At times when awaking this computer from sleep mode, it will have difficulty reconnecting to the router. Sometimes it will show a connection, but will show a small exclamation point that says no Internet connection. The only way to fix that is to turn the router off and restart after 15'-> 20' or so. Sometimes this works well, other times it works, but it still takes awhile to have an Internet connection. Anything I can do to correct this from within the router? TIA Redd |

Quick answer: Update the wireless adapter drivers or get a better wireless adapter (eg: Intel 6xxx card).

I bought a lil Asus USP wireless adapter for about $25 as the old laptop I sometimes use when watching TV only links wirelessly at 54Mps using the built in wifi circuitry. I routinely get 300 Mps with this adapter, it's rated limit.
I disabled the internal wireless. Seems to link fine all the time. -- Chuck |
