WNDR4500 LPC will not install

NETGEAR Live Parental Controls Management Utility 2.1.5 will not work with WNDR4500 Windows XP SP3. LPC gets to "Checking router firmware" and then chokes (stops installing). I've updated to latest WNDR4500_Firmware_Version_1.0.1.6 (hard reset) and tried disabling firewall and all virus protection but continue to get, “It looks like you might not be connecting to the internet through a supported NETGEAR router. Please make sure your computer is connected to your NETGEAR router via wireless or Ethernet and connection and try again. If this problem persists, turn off your router and turn it back on, wait until LEDs are lit and try again."
The WNDR4500 in on the list of supported routers. I am connecting through the WNDR4500 router via Ethernet and am able to access all internet web sites normally. All the router indicator lights on the router are on and proper color for normal operation.

hi m8 i can confirm it does work im using it now on wndr4500 with thelatest firmware
r u doing lpc from the genie program???
ive installed the use utility as well so i can over right it on my puter
mmm maybe reinstall the firmware it might of glitched when installed...

download the firmware, manually upload from the router GUI.

Well it’s been a successful disappointing day with the router,,,
I manually flashed the firmware to an earlier version and did a hard restart; No go. I then manually flashed the firmware back to the latest firmware version (1.0.1.6) and did a hard restart; No go. I then borrowed a laptop that had Windows XP Media Center installed and hooked it up via Ethernet; installed NETGEARManagementUtility-2.1.5 and ran setup. It installed and configured without any problems and now parental controls are “ENABLED” in http NETGEAR genie interface and work. “Successful”

I still can’t get the NETGEARManagementUtility-2.1.5 to configure on my own XP machine and I can’t get the “User utility” to see the router to be able to set up and log in thru a bypass account. “Disappointing”

I can see this is going to be fun figuring out this little gem,,,

I have just purchased a D6300, I have the same issue firmware checking just hangs. Not happy after spending over $300 and get a half working item, not very computer savy, can soeone help, even having trouble finding where I can list my issue on the forum?
