Default DGN2200 (n300) drops connection every few hours for a minute

I have had the DGN2200 for a few months now. I have had lots of issues with it.

The connection drops for a minute or so every 2-4 hours for a minute.
Router status says that it is still connected to the internet, with all the appropriate information set.

I am in the UK on Talk Talk talk.

Disable SIP ALG checked.
I have changed the filter on the phone line several times.

I am connected via cat5 wire to the router.

I can plug in my 10 year old Netgear DG834G and I do not have the same problems.

Is there anything I can setup in the logging to get this problem to be recognized?

Do I have to speak to technical support?

I am thinking of returning this box as it is not fit for purpose if I cannot vpn.

Hi - I'm having exactly the same problem with the DGN2200 on TalkTalk. Did you get anywhere with a solution? I'm also looking at returning it for another router.

Thanks
Steve

Yep, I've got the same problem with the DGN2200. My previous DGN834 worked without dropping connection for months, but the DGN2200 drops out regularly. Any solutions yet?

Any recommendations for a replacement modem that works?
