Default WNA3100 in Windows 8 Customer Preview

Is there a way to make WNA3100 driver works in Windows 8 Customer Preview?
May be it is possible to adopt existing driver's inf file?

Netgear will generally will not touch any of drivers until OS is released.

Meaning most of the native driver would be either Microsoft to provide under WDM driver or you will need to wait for the public release after the OS is on market.

from the past history on win7, it will not be fast process.

Just bought a WNA3100 and had the same problem. I am running the latest release preview of Win 8. I ran the standalone windows driver install and it seemed to work ok, but as soon as I tried to go online I lost internet access. To solve the problem I reconnected my previous wireless adapter so I had internet access, kept the WNA3100 connected but disabled, went to the Properties for the WNA3100 and selected Driver Update. Working fine now.

Cool Re: WNA3100 in Windows 8 Customer Preview

I am running Windows 8. My WNA3100v2 has installed okay and is working; had one problem when PC was restarted by another program causing me to loose my connection. I re-installed from the CD and it is working fine now. I would love to hear when Netgear update the driver for WNA3100v2 for Windows 8.

hi, I will explain it like I'm explaining it to a 60yr old (a 5yr old would have figured this out already )

MOST IMPORTANTLY download the latest software

If you cant use your pc without wireless the download it to a usb from another pc and drag n' drop it.

then uninstall your version 2.0 software

open the file Genie setup v2.1.0.4 and click open (which means download)

I dunno why the smiling chickie on the netgear home page couldn't explain this - maybe they're happy with the bad reviews.
