Default Wireless Mode

Hi, I have a WNDR3700... I have a question about a setting i'm not sure how to setup correctly.
In wireless settings the "mode" is defaulted to 130Mbps for 2.4ghz. Is there any downside to change this to 300Mbps?

Default Re: Wireless Mode

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/802.11n

explain the 20Mhz.40Mhz

20Mhz can be safer sometime from interference using dual channel on 40Mhz which is higher than 150Mbps speed.

any way, it will not cause huge issues on most of the wifi adapter

if you have 54Mbps adapter staying lower than 145Mbps may work better but there is no one way to all so if you have N adapter and want most speed for LAN to LAN transfer and experiment make it works with your devices
