Default Nintendo Gamecube online gaming problem

Hello there, I live in the UK and earlier this year I switched my ISP to BT Infinity so I could get much better internet speeds (37Mb download, 8.2Mb upload) and have been very pleased. As expected though, the router I got from BT, a 'BT Home Hub 3' was absolute rubbish! I kept getting random drop outs and major packet loss. So my brother gave me his spare NetGear WNDR3700 to try and replace the terrible Home Hub, ever since I put in the WNDR3700, everything has been working flawlessly!

Only one thing I have a problem with now: trying to make an online connection with my Nintendo Gamecube in a game called Phantasy Star Online (abbreviated as PSO). I play on a privatly hosted server and I know it works because if I plug back in the BT Home Hub, it all works fine.

Here's a video I uploaded on YouTube of the specific problem in question, I don't know how much help it can be though to someone who's never dabbled with the Gamecube and PSO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8I6HzSrN-Y

If you don't understand the video, I will try my best to explain. In the video, you can see it makes the connection to the server, you get the welcome screen/box of text, but after you pass that screen, a list of lobbies are supposed to appear, but nothing happens forcing me to reset the console. In the past I've only ever made a full connection or just not connected at all, I've never has this sort of "half-connection", so I find it very strange indeed...

So does anyone here know if there is some sort of setting that will allow me to go online with my Gamecube on the WNDR3700? Would be a great big help, thanks!
