Quite simply, will this work? In a bit more detail I will be travelling to many hotels that have wired Internet connections available in guest rooms, but often have no wifi. If I plug a NETGEAR WNCE2001 into the wired connection will I be able to persuade the iPad to connect to the Internet through it? Obviously assuming there is a DHCP server available and the wired connection is open.
The classic use case for this device seems to be the other way round, ie. connecting wired only devices to an existing wireless network. I can't find any statement that the NETGEAR WNCE2001 will work in this way, but can't think of any reason why it should not. The iPad should be able to connect and get an IP address. Shouldn't it? Thanks in advance. |

Shame, it would have been an elegant (and cheap) solution! But many thanks for the reply.
