Number of devices able to access through one router

We have a WGT624 router that has 3 devices connected via cables. There are as many as 12 wireless devices accessing the network at the same time through this same router. Is there a limit to how many can run through one router? Our network shuts down regularly.

Most router can handle up to 25 devices on legacy 802.11G router ?
