Default WNR2000v2 issues with cordless phones

I have a WNR2000 (wireless N 300) that is being over taken by my cordless phones. all the wireless computers and my western digital streaming media player is loosing all wireless connectivity when I use my cordless phone.
Uniden 2.4ghz I don't know the model number. it's not on the phones anywhere. it's a few years old.

is this normal for the negear router? I had a older negear wireless router and it didn't have this issue.

if there is a setting to stop this what is it?

I also need to add this issue just started when I bought this router. my old wgt624v3 router had no issues with this phone.

the base is actually downstairs on the other side of the house.
I'll try buying a newer 6.0ghz phone and see if that works.

plus ANY other 2.4Ghz close to wireless router ... baby monitor also uses 2.4Ghz... anything that emits should be away from the router to "minimize" the issues .

If the other old WGT634v3 router works fine before with the cordless phone then you can try changing the channel of your router. 1, 6 and 11 are non-overlapping channels. You can try them first.

these phones are terrible anyway. I'm going to buy a V-tech phone or panasonic instead.
besides, the batteries are starting to go bad. it's getting about time.

I'm having the same problem with our cordless phone (the base is on the opposite end of the house from the router) and have been trying to find out HOW to change the channels for my router? Can you please tell me how I might go about doing this?
