Default WNA3100 USB 2.0 Wireless won't install on my WS 2003 OS

I have been trying to install both from disc and internet my Netgear WNA3100"aka N300" USB wireless adapter. Once I click setup it attempts to install and then I get this message " the application does not support this OS". I have Windows Server 2003 as my OS and upon some research I deduced that this should be compatible. Any body out there that could help me get out the starting gate I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
