Hello. My router is WGR614 v9, and I don't know how to upgrade its firmware -
netgear_sticky_1.pdf that i downloaded from another thread says that if my internet drops (intermittent) i need to do few things and one of them is UPGRADING THE FIRMWARE. I already tried restarting the router, moving it, etc. but the connection keeps going down ALL THE TIMES. When i try to update the firmware according to this page http://support.netgear.com/app/answe...version-1.0.18 it doesn't work. Whenever I try to upload the downloaded file it says this: "Firmware upgrade failed. Please check your file." Maybe it's because im using a wireless connection? I dont have any other, though(the cable is too short to connect it to the computer upstairs, and whenever i connected it to the laptop downstairs it didn't work either?...). What do i do? the connection is OK downstairs, 2 metres away from the router. but if i move away, upstairs it's just rubbish! Everything was okay 3 days ago (about), it just suddenly started dropping down. |
