Default How to disable link up/down traps in FS728TPv1 switch?

Hi all,

I enabled SNMP traps on our FS728TPv1 switches to get alerts from them via SNMP. However, link up/down traps are a common occurrence when PCs are shut down by users and I would like to disable them, or limit them just to ports that have servers attached.

The FS728TP _v2_ switches have an option specifically to turn off just link up/down traps but the v1 switches do not have this option. The manual says nothing about selecting which traps to enable, or even what traps are sent at all. It looks like there may be a way to filter these traps out using SNMPv3 but I have not tried this yet.

I was wondering if anyone had found a way to turn off link state traps this with v1 switches in any way.

Thanks!
