WN2000rptv2, correct setup?

Dear all, I hope my English is not too broken! I bought the above mentioned range extender about one month ago and easily installed through the WPS button procedure - pointed out in the instructions as option 1, the recommended one. Nevertheless, very often after that a message popped up on my smartphone or on my tablet saying something like "netgear mywifiext:80 enter username and password". As I am not very tech-oriented, I used to skip the obstacle by pressing the WPS button on the range extender - after that the web connection started working again. Today, after a bit of websurfing about my device`s troubleshooting, I tried entering admin as username ad password as password. It didn't work but it led me to the wizard's setup tool (I guess it was option 2 in the instructions) which apparently allowed me to fix the things by creating a new network name. Now it is no more "Alicexxxxxxxxx_EXT", the extension's name has become "Network-e500.................". The network password is the same as before. Is it all right? Should I rather reset everything and reinstall the extender using the main option? Sorry about my poor explanation, thanks in advance for the time you will spend by reading it!
