Hi
I have noticed on a few routers now (DG834GT and some previous ones) that when I attach any device broadcasting multicast data that I lose WiFi capability. This is as soon as the streaming device is attached, wired is of course OK, but WiFi just drops out completely. Any suggestions ? I have now tried a few tests on site and in the lab using some over the counter devices (streaming IP cams), VLC and also the LiveTV streamers we manufacture ourselves. Even with very low data rates going from DVB-T to IP the routers WiFi module gives up (no connection possible from WiFi devices) so the chances of it ever coping with DVB-T2 data rates is non existant. Any setting where I can filter what is passed to the WiFi interface to simply block multicast data. If the router cannot work with Multicast devics on the same network, does Netgear have a router with WiFi that does ??? Or should customers wishing to have WiFi and streaming media at home have to buy another brand product ? Seems this must have come up before but I must be using the wrong search terms to find it. John
