Guys i am so tired of this thing not working. I recently bought a netgear modem (DM111psp) and a netgear router (WNR1000) and i set them both up and everything. I purchased an IP camera to access when i go to cancun this summer. I followed the directions EXACTLY how they came from the cams manufacturer and I CANT access the dang camera stream from outside my LAN. The camera came with its own DDNS too, and once i port forward, i cant access the DDNS so that means it isnt working. I also used a third party DDNS, dyndns.
Can you guys please help me out? Maybe its a firewall or something not allowing me to port forward, i used portforward software to see if the port i used was open and the program couldnt even ping it! my external ip address(which is my WAN address, i believe i got that right after doing this for 10 hours) is 69.151.156.150 my isp is sbcglobal, i called them and said they dont block ports. But the girl sounded kind of dumb so idk. :x i learned so much stuff like demilitarized zones and NAT's but i still cant figure this out im so frustrated. please help guys i am really tech savvy so i can provide screenshots, follow directions and terminology. THANKS!!! |
