I cannot find any doc on the DGND3700v2 that says it supports PPPoA. I've been through the v2 manuals. The DGND3700v1 does support PPPoA and it is documented in the manual. Much of Centurylink/Qwest requires PPPoA. Did Netgear pull support for PPPoA in the v2 or just leave it out of the doc? Anyone know the answer?

You are correct, there is no mention of PPPoA in the User Manual. Page 30 clearly states:

Even the topic on MTU settings (page 48) doesn't mention '1458' which is a common value in the UK for PPPoA connections. If you are looking to get the router, I would suggest that a support call be placed with Netgear to confirm this. If you could post the response it would be appreciated. |

bit of strange for built-in DSL modem (DG family) should have PPPoE and PPPoA support.
sounds like you need to contact support on this

I do find it odd that the doc states PPPoE, but not PPPoA. The DGND3700v1 explicitly states both PPPoE and PPPoA. Netgear support responded with the following;
"Regarding your query, I would like to inform you that DGND 3700v2 modem will automatically detect the type of internet connection you have and it accepts all type of connection." My read on this is that if I get this and it won't work with PPPoA or MER or even VDSL then the product can be returned for a full refund. |

I don't think I've ever gotten the charge but its on almost every receipt so they can choose to. Just tell them it was defective and not something like "I didn't like it". *remember your receipt or you will 99% have to pay to return or get the same item again. |

Thank you kang00r. That is important information.
