I purchased and installed a Grandstream HandyTone-286 this week, and the 20 second disconnect problem was driving me crazy until I found this forum. I tried changing multiple settings in the WNR200, including those mentioned on this page, and nothing worked. I finally downloaded firmware version 1.1.3.9 as suggested, and my outbound calls work fine now!
To anyone else having this problem, I strongly suggest doing this first, it will hopefully save you a lot of time. |

I have just spend a couple of hours sorting out exactly the same problem with a SPA 3102 and Voip Cheap and the phone dropping after 25 secs. Downgrading the software to 1.1.39 also solved the issue completely for my WNR 2000 resolved this issue.
Now NETGEAR guys this is clearly a known issue so why have you not even posted it as such on the firmware download notes - presumably as you haven't even done that you have not got it in your development plan to resolve with your next firmware. This is not impressive - us customers and users deserve better. |

Got a polycom 330 phone using VOIP behind a NetGear WNR 1000v2 router. Outgoing calls would drop at exactly 20 seconds everytime. Did what Gerry said, problem solved!

I have the Polycom 321 phone and a WNDR3700 router. I am having trouble with the phone rebooting anytime the phone tries to ring or if I push any of the buttons on the front except the number buttons or the menu. Can anyone help? I have already disabled the SIP ALG in the WAN settings. It didnt help.

Same problem here with the WNR2000v1 using Siemens / Gigaset N300A-IP (later version of C470IP) voip base station
. That is the 20 second drop out period for voip calls. I simply downgraded to the WNR2000-V1.1.3.9.img file did not clear setting and re-enter and it works fine now...seems to have kept all setting and works fine. I did have to restart the N300A-IP after the firmware downgrade on the WNR2000v1 router. I wasted a whole day trying to reconfigure the router and N300/N300A-IP unit before I found these forum entries. Thanks everyone!
