Default FVG318 Error: Failed to add the specified entry

Model:
FVG318

Firmware:
1.0.41 (Latest)

Error Message:
'Error: Failed to add the specified entry'

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Activate wireless card access control.
2. The router reboots, as expected.
3. When I then try to add a new wireless card, the router returns the error,
"Error: Failed to add the specified entry".

Further details of failed attempts to resolve:
I have performed the same sequence on dozens of Netgear routers, without ever encountering a hitch. I am using an acceptable device name, in this instance, 'station4', and a properly formatted MAC address, in the format 'xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx'. The error is returned when manually adding either a connected device, or a device that is not connected, and it occurs when trying to add a device 'automatically', using the 'Available Wireless Cards' list. I can find no permutation that does work around this error.

Finally, and importantly, I have noted that I can connect to the router wirelessly regardless of whether wireless card access control is activate or inactive. In theory, I should not be able to connect when the service is active, as the computer I'm connecting from is obviously not listed in the 'Wireless Card Access List' of permitted devices. I thought it might be a damaged firmware issue, but the problem persists, even after a firmware upgrade. Could this be a hardware problem? Is anyone running wireless card access control successfully on this unit and firmware combination?

Thanks for any help!
