Default cordless phone interference

I want to know if a cordless phone that works using 2.4 GHz frequency in the same room as the router can interfere with the router frequency? If so, do I need to get a different phone, or there is something I can do to avoid any issues.

Yes, it is possibly to have interference with phones that operate on the 2.4 GHz band with WiFi that also operates on the 2.4 GHz band.

Try DECT 6.0 cordless telephones which operate on the 1.9 GHz band to avoid interference. Purchase from a store with a good return policy so you can try without worrying about returning if that particular model isn't right for you.
