Default Wpn824v2 & VOIP

My VOIP Siemens Handset keeps losing its SIP registration. It looks like its the router settings. Can any one recommend the settings to use. Thank you, Alan (Dublin, Ireland)

Thank you for youur reply. What I mean are there other settings like firewall that needs to be set in a particular way to allow VOIP. I was told the following from my VOIP provider (blueface); Blueface firewall/router settings recommendation:

The best way to enable firewall is to allow ALL Traffic FROM and TO our IP range of 194.213.29.0/24 (Note that we do own whole subnet)

If there is no option to set up this rule on the device then portforwarding might needs to be done in order to enable service passing through the firewall/router on 5060 to 5061 ports range for UDP protocol and 10 000 to 20 000 ports range for UDP. Those two rules need to be enabled for our IP range mentioned above and pinpoint to the IP address of the phone.

When I log into the router I am not sure how to interepret the above with the options in the router screen. Maybe you know?

Thank you, Alan

called port forwarding.

likely you will NOT able to tell the source of IP 194.213.29.0 in the port forwarding because these home end router will NOT allow but to open to ALL the IP from the internet

see portforward.com (Free) and see how it should setup.
