Default DG834PN Windows XP Wireless Problem

Hi,

My father just got a new laptop from work and we're having problems connecting his wireless connection. My Macbook connects to our wireless access point fine, but his work laptop (Dell) doesn't seem to want to. I've turned off encryption and don't use SSID hiding or MAC address filtering. The wireless router is the Netgear DG834PN. The laptop's wireless is built in (Intel Pro 3945ABG).

Thanks for any help,

Dean

Do you see any error messages? If you right click on the network icon in the System Tray and select Status then Support, what IP address do you see? Is it 192.168.x.y or 169.254.x.y?

Have you disabled any software firewalls on the PC?
