Default Fast Forward puzzles with 2.0.145

Hi

Can't seem to find a thread on this... I have some MPEG files which play ok, but the Fast Forward behaviour doesn't seem to be quite working. I press >> and it speeds up: press it again and it goes to >>> then >>>>, the pointer moves more quickly along the timeline but the playback just goes at around 2x. Soon the pointer gets to the end of the timeline and stays there, but the playback is still way behind.

Known problem, or am I missing something?

TIA

I have some problem with fast forwarding also. When fast forward 1x, it's fine. But when fast forward 2x, there is no time line. And when press again it goes to 4x (>>>>), but the time line shows.

I have the exact same problem as ceejayng when trying to fast forward MPEG files with 2.0.145. Timeline advances quickly, but movie never advances any faster than about 2x. Can I expect better luck with FF on different formats, e.g. AVI?

Well, I suppose I'm glad its not just me.

I know that everyone has their own priorities, but I have to say this is probably the most annoying "feature" of the current firmware for me - I have a lot of mpeg's some of them 1 - 2 hours long, and not being able to move around within them is incredibly frustrating.

Any advice, or reassurance that its being looked at, would be most welcome.
