Default changing wep to wpa

Pardon a newbie question...

Have wnr834b router. Laptop has 'g' adapter.

The router was set up with WEP encryption, but I would like to change to WPA. How do I do that? Do I go back into the router setup and just make the change, or is there something more that I have to do? What variety of WPA should I select from the menu?

Thanks.

Personally I would go for the highest your laptop can support, if this is WPA2, then use that.

Thanks.

How would I go about doing that? Do I use my browser to go into the router menu and change it there in the 'settings', or is there something else I have to do to make the change from wep to wpa2.

Any quick practical advice would be helpful for this router newbie.
