Default Is the wireless light supposed to blink or stay solid?

As of yesterday, my laptop with an onboard Intel Proset Wireless started intermittently losing wireless connection to my WGR614v7 (approximately every 2 minutes.) I notice that the "Wireless" light on the front panel of the router is constantly blinking at about 1 second intervals. Is it supposed to, or should it be solid?

I'm not sure what has caused loss of connection. There have been no software additions or upgrades to the laptop. The router has the newest version of the firmware. The other computer that is hardwired into the router has constant Internet connection with no other issues. The router is relatively new (maybe 3 months old.) Any suggestions?

what model of wireless on intel

did you do any firmware upgrade lately. if so did you hard reset.

visit my site for 'router reset' .. do step1 and re-setup

also check intel.com for driver/app as well

After hard reset of router AND deletion Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG profile, connection seems to be consistent. Apparently, the light IS supposed to flash. Something must have gotten corrupted.

Thanks for the help...
