Default Cant log onto www.routerlogin.net

When i try to log into routerlogin.net i try the admin//password and after doing that 3 times i get this error:

401 Unauthorized
Access to this resource is denied; your client has not supplied the correct authentication.


Anyone know what might be the problem?
I have a MGR614v6
I use a OS:windows vista
My modem is the brand Aries i beleive?

See manual to make sure you are using the default password, these vary from model to model. If the router has been used before, the password may have been changed from the default -- the solution then is to reset the router (but this will wipe all other settings).

It sounds as though you are using th correct IP address -- but check in Windows go Start, All Programs, Accessories, Command Prompt and tipe IPCONFIG /ALL the router IP address is the one with "gateway" next to it.

I had this problem due to the domain been taken down. To over come this I simply typed the Routers IP address. Try either of the following:
192.168.0.1
192.168.1.1
